Daystar Foundation

Daystar has operated since 2001 in the South West of Sydney. Historically we have concentrated our efforts in socially and economically disadvantaged communities. Our activities are informed by several "pillars" with the overarching pillar being 'Poverty Alleviation.' Poverty alleviation is effectively dealt with through 'Education,' 'Work Skills' and 'Food Security.' Our vision is guiding vulnerable people to achieve and belong while our mission is to create pathways to community belonging. Our purpose ’Poverty Alleviation’, aligns directly with the United Nation principles of sustainable goal development. Of its seventeen sustainable goals Poverty Alleviation is by far its major goal.
