At ATYP young people get the job done!
For almost 60 years, ATYP has put young people centre stage. ATYP has been the spring board for some of Australia’s most prominent actors, playwrights and theatre makers and it continues to guide generations of theatre-loving audiences. Our legacy is to nurture young Australians, the next generation of creators, thinkers and leaders through theatre. Each year ATYP welcomes thousands of young people aged 5-26 years-old through our doors.
As a not-for-profit organisation we rely on generous donations to help us support our initiatives. This year we need your help to raise $10,000 towards supporting Australia’s leading young artists. Every donation will directly support ATYP in delivering and developing engaging, creative and innovative programs and opportunities for us to show the world what young people are capable of!
From its home in Sydney, ATYP delivers programs and initiatives that positively enhance the lives of young people around Australia.
Productions created by ATYP tour nationally and are live-streamed in high definition, multi-camera broadcasts so they can be viewed for free by schools and youth theatre companies across the country via our digital classroom – the first of its kind available for teachers and students in Australia.
Programs such as the National Studio, Fresh Ink Mentoring and the National Summer Drama Camp bring together young people from around the country to work with and learn from leading professional artists. Scripts commissioned by ATYP are published, studied and performed in schools across the country.
Research has confirmed the impact of our programs resonates for a lifetime. From inspiring young people in the remote outback to showcasing extraordinary talent on our most celebrated stages, ATYP’s reach is felt all over Australia.

All donations over $100 will be acknowledged on our website for 12 months. Donations of $2 or greater towards ATYP initiatives are tax-deductible for Australian tax payers. ABN 24 000 816 704
