During the past financial year, we’ve won two breakthrough cases for detained clients, seen our youngest client (who was born in detention) released and had the UN rule in our favour on several arbitrary detention submissions.
As a pro-bono firm with two lawyers, we rely on winning to cover some of our costs and pay the leading barristers who work with us on a no-win, no-fee basis.
But we’re more ambitious than that.
We want to keep saying yes to the most difficult cases, the ones that can take years to resolve.
We want to keep advocating at the government and international level.
And we want to take on more lawyers so we can say yes to more people who need legal representation.
Would you like to invest in a future where arbitrary, indefinite and unlawful detention is no longer a stain on Australia?
