New beginnings

We have a new home!

Dandelion Support Network Inc. is thrilled to share that we have found a new home where we can continue to support families in need. Excitingly, the new space is still located in the Sutherland Shire and is still very accessible for our fabulous volunteer team, most who live locally.

We are very grateful for all the community support we have received in the recent weeks, including a number of local real estate agents who have assisted us during our exhaustive search. Special thanks to Brad Lord, Ray White Commercial and Michael Hatz, Black and White Agency for going above and beyond to work with us on the new space.

Our team are very excited to now focus our attention on ensuring the set-up of our new home is efficient and practical for our operations so that we can ensure our impact on vulnerable families is maximised.

Though the last few weeks have been uncertain for us, we know that many of the families referred to our service are living with much uncertainty every day.
Melissa was recently referred to Dandelion after escaping a violent relationship, desperate to protect her daughter Isabelle. With limited income and very little support from family or friends, Melissa is doing her best to give Isabelle the love and care she needs but was struggling to get her family back on track.

Dandelion were able to provide Melissa with a number of items to support Isabelle’s growth and development as well as removing some stress for Melissa herself. Knowing that Isabelle now has as a safe place to sleep, toys to play with and cute clothes to keep her comfortable, because of the generosity of our network, warms our heart.

Sadly, our referral system is inundated with requests for families just like Melissa and Isabelle. We want nothing more than to help but we can’t do it without you. On average it costs us $180 to help a family in need.
