Story

Suicide is the single biggest problem Australia faces today. Simply put, it’s becoming a national crisis. 8 lives are lost every day, 8 attempts are made every hour, with suicide being the biggest killer of people between the age of 15 and 44.
Yet, Lifeline believes most suicides are preventable, and through support and intervention in times of crisis we can save lives. Lifeline is on the front line, providing all Australians with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.
Our purpose is to support all Australians in times of crisis and equip individuals and communities to be resilient and suicide-safe.
