107 Projects creates positive social change and supports emerging communities to be more connected, healthy and sustainable.
We’re a charity that self-generates 72% of our income, meaning your support goes direct to the human and artistic elements of what we do - encouraging people to live creatively at arts centres in Redfern and Green Square; and through 107 Presents, our investment umbrella to directly fund artists and community focused impact. We improve affordability for artists to create and present new work; supporting learners through to professionals.
Our programs aim to be proactive in addressing isolation and the issues that are born from disconnection. Through art and inclusive practices, we cultivate a sense of place, community spirit and civic participation. We create welcoming, safe places for all genders, LGBQTI, abilities, cultures, income and age groups. Redfern, and the communities that make it, have been the main beneficiary of our work; each year we engage with 35,000 visitors and 3,500 artists across 650 events.
In 2018, we’re expanding our reach by opening a second property, Joynton Avenue Creative Centre in Green Square, and through satellite events and public art commissions across broader Sydney.
Help us to invest in artists and communities through giving your support to:
An Aboriginal employment strategy that will offer a graduate part-time employment and peer mentorship from established artists to lead and consult on indigenous activities in our Creative Program.
Providing access to space and utilities that support start up enterprises, small businesses, freelancers and students.
Hack Sounds - providing an entry point for adults with and without disabilities to collaborate in an inclusive music making space using the latest in electronic music technology.
The launch of our new arts centre, Joynton Avenue Creative Centre, which will boost Sydney's cultural sector with 28 affordable studio spaces for artists and creative producers.
