Raise creates thriving communities by empowering young people to become resilient, capable and connected. We impact the wellbeing of young people at risk of disengagement through best practice mentoring programs.

Having someone to listen, without judgement, is one of the best gifts we can give vulnerable young people. Over the last 10 years Raise has provided mentors to more than 5,400 young people, equating to over 179,960 hours of face to face mentoring. To do this we have also delivered industry leading youth mentoring training to almost 4,000 volunteers from the community.

Our programs are evidence-based, fully supervised, mentee-led mentoring programs for young Australians in high schools. Integral to the success of our programs are the duration (min 22 weeks), supervision by qualified counsellors and the detailed level of mentor training (12 hours Raise accredited).

Too often it’s the stuff that goes on outside of school, either at home or in social situations, that affects our young people’s ability and readiness to engage in learning. Raise volunteer mentors support each young person to navigate these challenging situations, by listening without judgement which enables our young people to feel heard, valued and supported.
