I know it’s a scary time. The impacts of coronavirus are felt in every home and workplace. I hope you and your loved ones are staying strong and have the support you need at this time of uncertainty.
As part of the Werribee Mercy Hospital community, I ask you to remember those who are most at risk and ensure that you practice frequent hand washing and self-distancing.
The seniors and those with underlying illness in our community are at the highest risk of coronavirus, and we need to do our part to help stop the spread.
As a Werribee Hospital Foundation supporter and your past generosity, you’ve helped with our hospital services, thank you.
The amazing medical staff are currently going above and beyond the call of duty to care for and protect the most vulnerable members of our community. However, they are starting to feel the true impact of this additional and excessive strain. Therefore, we really do need your support now, more than ever before.
The Werribee Mercy Hospital staff are at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 (coronavirus) and our dedicated doctors and nurses are doing all they can to care for those most at risk.
Can I ask you today, to also go above and beyond for the staff and families in their care?
We are truly lucky to have the most incredible, loyal and caring supporters. Many of you have helped in the past with your own fundraising events which have now been cancelled or postponed because of COVID-19. Sadly, this has been a necessity in order to protect our supporters and the staff at Werribee Mercy Hospital and attempt to delay the spread of this virus.
But the reality is that Werribee Mercy Hospital is going to feel the impact of this lack of fundraising income, and therefore our ability to support the incredible work undertaken by the staff will suffer as a result.
Your gift today will ensure we can continue this vital support for both the staff and patients.
I understand your financial situation may be affected by the pandemic. But if you possibly can, your support right now matters so much to those who are working tirelessly to ensure the health and wellbeing of patients in our community.
With so many resources dedicated to dealing with the coronavirus, our financial situation is reaching breaking point. That’s why your help is needed.
Could you assist with a gift of $50 or more.
I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us and with us, and we appreciate your support so much at this very uncertain time.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
With best wishes,
Leanne Down
