Odgers Berndtson is committed to supporting local charities. Our Global Charity Challenge provides an opportunity for all our colleagues to get involved with fundraising for worthy causes. Colleagues from all our international offices will take part in a rowing challenge (2,000m of indoor rowing) and see how we compare against each other and the World Record times.
This year, in light of the national bushfire crisis, Odgers Berndtson Australia has chosen to support Rural Aid.
Rural Aid was founded in 2015 to provide a holistic support program to rural Australia. The starting point for the charity was the success of the Buy a Bale campaign, which Australians have generously donated to, allowing the distribution of fodder, hampers and more. In 2018 Rural Aid embarked on the development of a specialised counselling program, 100% fully funded to support rural communities.
As Australians suffer through a devastating and unprecedented bushfire season, the work that Rural Aid does has become even more critical, with over 10,000 farmers and 10 million animals in fire affected areas. Farmers have lost millions of hectares of feed and crops. This will have financial and mental health impacts on rural communities well beyond the immediate rebuilding and recovery period.
When you give to Rural Aid, you are making a real difference in the life of a farmer in need.
$20 buys one small bale of hay
$100 buys one large bale of hay
$450 provides a rural family with a truckload of water
$5,700 buys an entire truckload of hay for a farmer's precious livestock
Rural Aid is already delivering aid to fire affected areas and need our help to provide farmers with recovery support in the form of water, hay and financial assistance.
We’re proud and determined to be raising money for Australia’s rural communities. Please give whatever you can – every little bit counts. Thank you for your support.
