Promise to Turn Off The Tap and Finish will donate water to regional communities in need.
Research shows over three quarters of Australians use their dishwashers at least two to three times a week, with the majority rinsing their dishes beforehand. This can waste up to 40 litres of water per load, or approximately 20 billion litres of water each year.
This is occurring at the same time parts of Australia are experiencing one of the worst droughts it has seen in the past century.
Many rural households rely on rainwater or bore water that is often tainted by its high mineral content. These local supplies are dwindling.
To help #FinishWaterWaste and support those families impacted by the drought, Finish has come on board as Rural Aid’s Official Water Partner and is encouraging Australians to turn off the tap and stop pre-rinsing their dishes.
For every promise to #FinishWaterWaste that is shared via social media, Finish will donate 40 litres of much-needed water to drought-affected Australians via Rural Aid. With your help, our goal is to deliver 6.8 billion litres of water to Aussies in the coming months!
If you would like to help us deliver even more water to rural areas that need it, your donations via this page are hugely appreciated.
Sincerely,
Finish Australia & Rural Aid
