We began the Rainbow Tapestry project after a lot of research. Trends showed that more people are living by themselves. People remarked that they wanted to meet and connect with others. We observed behaviours of those who thought might be lonely.
For us involved in MCC Welfare Services, we didn't want to focus on the negative. We wanted our work to be fun and interesting - even though we knew there would be heavy loads to carry at times.
The Rainbow Tapestry project speaks to all of that. We offer weekly events that allow the inner child to come out and play. We have other events that take us out into the world. We also draw on topics that help us grow as people. Underpinning all events is the opportunity to connect with others.
Will you help us strengthen connections?
