Selling the starter cultures for you to make your own Kombucha.
Kombucha is a drink made by fermenting black tea and sugar with a yeast culture called a scoby (much the way yogurt is fermented). It is low in sugar and apparently it has all kinds of health benefits, such as aiding digestion and gut health, boosting your immune system, “detoxification” and weight loss! But it’s mostly just delicious (it tastes a bit like a tart cider).
Each scoby is $15 and comes with instructions. For the price of two bottles from Bondi Whole Foods you can have an eternity of Kombucha!
Available from Tuesday 31st Oct onward. Please bring your own jar to collect.
