So much of what you can achieve in life depends on where you're born - and it shouldn't be that way. That's why I spend a lot of my time at Dandelion Support Network, trying to go some way to correcting that balance. With the mere $140 that goes into helping the average family in hardship, Dandelion can add $530 worth of value into improving the safety and wellbeing of those children and newborns in that family.
For along time I've been thinking about getting into swimming again, and in February, I'm planning to hit the water, and hopefully go from gasping-for-air after 50m - to swimming a full km (and raise $1 per metre for DSN!). Please join me in supporting this great cause! (and I'm going to pitch in $1 for each metre I fall short of my distance goal)
Update (8/2): Hit 1.2kms this morning, so my target is toast again. 1.5km? :O
Update (15/2): 1.5kms!
