In November 2018 I am travelling to India with Human Kind Project and Barefoot College to help enable girls in rural villages of India an education, helping them to break the cycle of poverty through education.
Australian charity Human Kind Project supports the global organisation Barefoot College to educate children between the ages of 6 and 14 to gather at night to learn by the light of solar lanterns.
In addition to the educational programs, Barefoot College advocates and educates, to empower and nurture women, one village at a time, one woman at a time and one girl at a time.
Barefoot College has been making a real difference to people’s lives for 40 years. It now operates its sustainable, practical, ground up, programs in 1300 villages across 77 countries.
Why am I doing this?
I believe that if you have travelled through life with the company, care and compassion of others, you have been truly blessed.
I have been truly blessed.
To put life in perspective, I will travel to pass on the gifts I have been given, to make a difference to those less fortunate so they to can pass on something special.
“Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day I can hear her breathing”.
