CARE Australia is working to stop COVID-19 spreading in the most remote and poverty stricken places on earth, including crowded refugee camps
Help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
COVID-19 has now reached some of the world’s most poverty-stricken and conflict-ravaged communities where healthcare systems are already weak and under-resourced, and supplies have been wiped out by disaster or conflict. The first cases have just been confirmed in Syria and near Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh. These are places where physical distancing is near impossible, and clean water and soap are luxuries. A COVID-19 outbreak in these environments will be catastrophic.
We need to act now by getting people critical soap, clean water and information on how to prevent the spread of the virus before it’s too late. CARE is doing this urgent work, which could be the difference between life and death for thousands of people, and will be vital in stopping the spread throughout communities who have already endured so much.
Your donation to CARE today could help provide hygiene kits, clean water and emergency supplies to the most vulnerable families, and help stop the spread while we still can. You will also be helping to ensure that CARE can continue our lifesaving work in all the countries impacted by COVID-19.
