Donate your pre-loved professional clothing to empower people and overcome barriers to employment
This National Recycling Week (11 -17 November) we encourage you to look at the ways you can get involved in recycling at home, work or in the community.
As a business, we’re focusing our collective efforts on recycling with charities across Australia who facilitate donations of pre-loved professional clothing to help disadvantaged people gain meaningful employment.
By recycling, reusing or sharing a item instead of constant consumption we reduce the consumption of water, energy, fuel and valuable natural resources, and reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
How you can participate
Bring in your pre-loved suits and other professional apparel and accessories to our office drive next week. Think about what you would wear to a job interview and donate generously to support your states local charities. You can review the donation guidelines if you're unsure on what’s appropriate.
When What do you need to do?
Sydney is supporting Dress for Success and Dress for Work 18th - 21st
November
Drop clothes off to The Shed anytime next week – be mindful of meetings in the Yard. You can also volunteer to sort and pack donated clothes on Friday 22nd here.
Together we can do good for the environment and support women and men in need with the confidence to enter or return to the workplace, make a great first impression and land a job that could change their life.
