No family, few (if any friends), scared to leave the house alone, and feeling very, very lonely. This is how the survivors of modern slavery often feel at Christmas. While we are all having a great time, they sit alone in their apartments to fearful to go outside.
The Freedom Hub is planning outings and activities over the Christmas & January period to help them escape the loneliness of this season and fill it with peer support activities, workshops and excursions.
The big problem is that our cafe closes (because we have no customers) at this time of year. So our expenses go up and our income goes down.
So this is a Bridge the Gap Christmas appeal so that we can ensure our survivors have fun and we can open our doors again in the new year.
Come be a part of the change and help us some of the vulnerable this Christmas.
Then watch our IG & FB to see pics of events!
Thank you so much for supporting this campaign. Your assistance helped us give our survivors a great summer. Sally
