65 Roses is our major annual awareness and fundraising campaign. This year 65 Roses Day is on Friday 25th May 2018. On that day we aim to have as many volunteers out on streets throughout Tasmania rattling a tin to receive donations. Even just 1-2 hours is a great help.
During the week leading up to this (21 May onwards) we have merchandise and information stalls in shopping centres in various parts of the State. It's really important that we have enough volunteers to staff these throughout the days they operate.
The money we raise goes towards support for members of the Tasmanian CF community including:
No prior knowledge of CF is required to help us with these activities. We can give you a quick overview of this life-limiting condition if required.
We can let you know where and when we need volunteers and arrange for you to get a collection tin, volunteer vest and stickers to you. You will be surprised how generous members of the public are.
We need a couple of people on Friday 25th May to do tin rattling in the pubs around Hobart's waterfront and Salamanca area. That's always rewarding and can be quite fun - give people a few drinks and they can become very generous with their donations. So how about getting a couple of friends together for this?
Alternatively, you can spend a few hours on one of our merchandise stalls - where we have a few items for sale (pens, badges etc) and take donations.
