At GG, we connect excess with need to help people and planet by delivering pre-loved essentials (fridges, TVs, beds, dining tables, chest of drawers) to create comfy, inviting homes so families can rebuild and get back to the life they wish to lead.
This year, we are on track to complete 515 homes for families and individuals in need of a helping hand - whoah that’s a lot of deliveries! We'll set up about 1200 grown ups and kids with some things every home needs - the tricky, heavy, expensive items that are hard to afford, lift, transport and find.
By pitching in to help cover the costs of running our truck (Gloria este Van), you will help us deliver a decent night's sleep, a fridge to keep food fresh and healthy, a washing machine to get the kids to school in clean uniforms, and a place to sit and enjoy time as a family. It all adds up to dignity. With these basics covered, they'll have a much greater chance of rebuilding their lives.
We’re currently fine for furniture donations, we always need fridges and washers of course.
We’re on a mission to fuel kindness. Literally.
We’re simply fundraising to cover the transport costs of the 500+ dispatches we’re doing this year to turn the roof over their heads into a lovely safe home when they need it most, because that’s where the heart is, and the mind can relax.
Every single donation, humble or grand, helps people directly by covering our transport bills (fuel, service, tolls, insurance) to deliver beautiful pre-loved goods at no cost to people having a really tough time. It makes life easier and helps them keep paying their rent and managing all their other important costs. By stepping in with us, you keep the GG wheels turning.
$25 gets a lovely bed and soft mattress under someone sleeping on the floor.
$50 fills the tank for the truck to deliver a fridge so a mum fills her kids’ tank with fresh milk on their cereal before school.
$70 fuels the truck to deliver a microwave, fridge & dining table, that fills a few bellies with a family mealtime together.
$240 covers the miles to collect and deliver a few heavy things to set up home for a young person leaving foster care setting up for the first time.
$775 registers Gloria este Van (yep we named our truck) for a year and 1215 insures it
Every dollar powers our donations being detoured from their route to landfill and our orders getting on the road to their new home. You are helping to wrap vulnerable people with kindness, knowing they are seen and cared for as they continue onwards and upwards.
