On November 6, 2016, my friends (Colin, Mitchell, Dale, James, Greg and Dane), will be cycling 1000 km from Sydney to Melbourne in just 8 days. The ride will begin with the annual Sydney2Gong where approximately 10,000 people annually participate. They will be riding to raise much needed funds and awareness to assist those suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The reason for our ride came shortly after the 2015 Sydney2Gong event, when earlier that year a close friend of ours was diagnosed with relapsing and remitting MS. As a group of friends in our mid 20’s we never thought MS was a disease that would affect someone we knew so well and so young. This news rocked all our worlds, even more so considering she got the news just months before she was to marry her long time partner.
All the guys cycling, would really appreciate any donations to the cause, simply click 'Donate' on this page.
With your generous sponsorship and the funds we hope to raise we can support people living with multiple sclerosis so they can access vital MS Support Services. Services such as MS Peer Support, connecting people who are newly diagnosed with those who have lived with multiple sclerosis for a number of years, or the MS Employment Support program keeping Aussies living with multiple sclerosis in the work force.
