The first event I attended was in King Lake Victoria and spent the day with Greenfleet's CEO. One aim of that day was to re tree areas affected by bushfire to reinstate the local habitat's pathways to their original area as they would not travel through open fields.
The tree planting day on Wednesday 20th April focused on re-treeing an area of the Mount Carmel Retreat so as to provide a cooling of the area and also attempt to have a positive impact on the health of the community. It was also to provide a green barrier to the development in the area away from the retreat's tranquility. Furthermore wallabies in the area are requiring sanctuary from the encroaching suburbia.
I spent most of the day with a Telstra employee who is now responsible for the novated lease program at Telstra and I will be catching up with him in the next two week.
Very good day. Really appreciate what Greenfleet does.
