Earthwatch connects people with the environment through scientific research. Connecting Families with Nature – is exactly that!
We will be working with Key Assets Australia to give foster parents and their foster children the opportunity to get close to nature and support scientific research.
From trekking over Australia’s coastal islands to researching the wildlife of our beloved rainforests, they’ll be engaged with collecting data to support climate research while getting closer to nature in the meantime.
By supporting this project, you will sponsor a child (children) and their foster parent (or parents) to join an expedition and help scientists collect data on our changing environment for 7 or 11 days.
Why not help the environment and connect a family to the physical, emotional and mental health benefits of nature today?
Our goal is to send 4 families (one child & parent) on an expedition which is a total of $17,560
One family is from $4,390, so for every $4,390 goal we get to – that’s another family we’ve just sent into the field.
The expeditions they will be sent on are:
