Husk came to us as a stray through a vet clinic. His condition was terrible and he was considered a euthanasia case by the vets. He is middle aged, blind and deaf. When he was bathed by a volunteer there was a pool of blood in the sink from all the flea infestation. He felt so much better after the bath! No more biting insects! The next hurdle was a dental. Once we put some weight onto him, we could consider, a dental. His mouth was putrid resulting from years of neglect. We had to extract all his teeth. It was a big ordeal, being kept on fluids before, during and post-surgery. It is more expensive to do this, but it minimises the risks. We also x-rayed his back and found 2 discs that are collapsing. He is now on pain management to make him feel more comfortable. Husk is enjoying cooked chicken and rice with broth and slowly we are putting weight on him. Husk has a fluffy coat and weighs 5.1kg. He loves a little cuddle and being patted.
Neglected Husk needs YOUR Help! Can you help to donate towards the costs of Husk's vet bills?
Husk has suffered enough. It is time to get better so Husk's lifelong wounds can start healing...
We are also looking for a compassionate family who would like to give him a permanent home.
