Royal Far West’s location by the sea in Manly is a special place that we would like to share with more country kids.
Aside from our neuro-development diagnosis and treatment program, RFW is also focusing on offering health and recreation camps.
Many of the schools we offer these camps to serve a low socio-economic, disadvantaged community. Many kids have never left the area they were born in. Many could only dream about spending a week by the ocean.
Royal Far West is in a very fortunate position where we have the facilities to provide these camps however need support to fund them.
Sponsoring a RFW Health & Recreation camp is not only supporting country kids, it’s a unique and rewarding experience for your staff.
Health and recreation camps deliver a program to children from a country NSW community relating to healthy living, fundamental movement skills and nutrition.
The 5 day program provides accommodation and meals at Royal Far West in Manly with a healthy living program encompassing recreation activities, group workshops, sporting activities and peer support.
Activities may include nutrition classes, cooking demonstrations, hygiene and healthy living skills. Recreation activities may include surfing lessons, bush walking, bike riding and visits to Sydney city and attractions.
All camps are residential programs for groups of ten students. Student ages vary depending on the group and camp focus.
